Welcome to Kinglake Ranges Wilderness Camp
Kinglake Ranges Wilderness Camp is a group accommodation facility located just 60 minutes North of the Melbourne CBD sitting atop the Great Dividing Range. Our location is a unique camp environment set amidst 800 hectares of mountain bush right beside the King Parrot Creek.
We are well and truly on our way to recovery after being totally destroyed on Black Saturday thanks to the fantastic support of so many.

What won't be changing is what we do at KRWC and that is to deliver programs that have a foundation of personal development and content that teaches about place and sustainability. Add to this a top quality food experience, beautiful surrounds and you have KRWC in a nutshell. Our testimonials reflect this.
We can't wait - did we say that already! Go to our Rebuilding page to see some of the new site building plans and photos of it all unfolding. One of the few good outcomes of the disaster is that we have been given the opportunity to completely redesign the use of our beautiful site and purpose design every element based on our years of experience. From workflows, visual vantage points, teacher retreats, sustainability showcases everywhere, permaculture gardens, advanced AV facilities and general comfortable feel - we feel priveledged to be able to oversee this reinvention. There are many elements which are totally unique in the group accomodation sector. Today we are very much enjoying the sound of kids back at our camp for day programs and outdoor rec camps.
We are grateful for all the support we have recieved - thankyou to our association and industry friends, our clients and suppliers and levels of Government - it has been a humbling experience.
Please organize a visit, a cuppa and a walk around, we would love to see you.

With the support of the Australian Camps Association Colin French from KRWC presented at the ICC in Hong Kong in November. The focus of the presentation was the recovery journey since the Black Saturday bushfires. The aspiration was for the KRWC experience to be helpful for camps internationally that have sufferred from natural disasters, particularly with the Japan tsunami experience in mind.
